01 — Description

Borealis Artefact 2027

The Award-Winning All-Mountain Freeride Snowboard

Its directional shape and responsive construction give you the confidence to attack steep, gnarly terrain at speed, while still offering the versatility to ride powder, natural features and big kickers.

The Artefact also delivers exceptional carving performance, making it equally at home on steep groomers and hardpack between big-mountain missions.

Read the full description
Big-Mountain Stability
The Artefact is built to stay composed when the terrain gets steep, technical and fast. Its directional platform provides a powerful, predictable feel for committing to exposed lines, steep faces and challenging snow conditions.
Precision Carving
Edge Synergy technology delivers powerful, consistent edge engagement and precise turn initiation, allowing the Artefact to hold a strong line through aggressive carving. Liquid Sidewalls help absorb vibration and chatter, keeping the board smooth and controlled when driving hard through the turn.
Fast & Powerful Base
The Durasurf 4001 Sintered Base provides a fast, durable riding surface designed to maintain speed across hardpack, variable snow and long high-speed traverses. Combined with the Artefact's responsive construction, it helps the board carry speed confidently from one turn to the next.
Powder Float & Technical Terrain
The tapered profile, elongated nose and Directional Camrock provide natural float in deep snow while keeping the board precise and responsive in technical terrain.
Power for Big Lines & Big Kickers
The Ultra Light Forest Core, Triaxial Fibreglass and Carbon Power Strips combine low weight with torsional strength and explosive pop — giving the Artefact the power and stability to send serious big-mountain lines or large park kickers.
Built to Charge
From steep faces and technical lines to hard carving and big kickers, the Artefact is built to handle serious riding.

03 — How it feels

How it feels.

Comfortable, intuitive and ultra-smooth. Designed by shapers who know exactly what they are doing, the Artefact feels right from the very first turn. It is a different experience from most boards you have ridden.

Comfort

Ultra-smooth ride.

Liquid Sidewalls reduce chatter and damp vibration, so the ride stays comfortable and composed, even when you drive hard through a turn or hold a long, fast traverse. You still feel the snow, just not the noise. The Durasurf 4001 sintered base keeps the speed flowing across hardpack and variable snow.

Intuitive

Right from the first turn.

The shape feels natural straight away. Edge Synergy gives precise turn initiation and strong, consistent edge engagement, so the Artefact holds its line with confidence through aggressive carving on steep groomers and hardpack.

Edge Synergy · Progressive sidecut · Recycled steel edges
Dynamic

Lively and responsive.

Comfortable does not mean dull. A low-weight core and Carbon Power Strips add explosive pop, so the board reacts instantly when you ask for more, in a turn or off a kicker.

Float

Natural in any snow.

The tapered profile, elongated nose and Directional Camrock give natural float in deep snow, while the board stays precise and responsive when the terrain turns technical.

Directional Camrock · 25 mm set-back · Powder Storm Inserts
Stable

Holds when you push.

Torsional strength and a directional platform give a powerful, predictable feel. When you accelerate on steep, fast terrain, the Artefact stays composed and keeps its line.

04 — Edge Synergy technology

Why it carves so well.

How it works

1Progressive sidecut radius

LARGER RADIUSSTABLE AT SPEEDTIGHTERTIGHTER

Tighter at the ends, so the board turns easily at low speed. Larger in the centre, which takes over as you pick up speed, for stability in long, fast carves.

2Sidewaves

0.5 mmNOSEHEIGHT EXAGGERATED FOR CLARITYSMOOTH SIDECUT ARC

At each foot, a very subtle bump on both edges, set just ahead of the inserts and rising only 0.5 mm above the sidecut curve. It gives more bite on very hard snow and ice.

3Progressive contact points

TYPICAL · SHORTBOREALIS · LONG, PROGRESSIVESIDECUT CURVENOSE / TAIL CURVE

The sidecut curve meets the opposite curve of the nose and tail through a long, gradual transition. That gives more edge length gripping than on most snowboards.
